Attracting Women and Minorities to STEM Careers – March 4th

Attracting Women and Minorities to STEM Careers

Celebrate Women’s History month by attending a free in person program on, Attracting Women and Minorities to STEM Careers on March 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. The program is being offered by AAUW Madison Area branch and is being held at the Florham Park Library. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Advanced reservations are not needed.

The speaker is distinguished Toastmaster Cyndi Wilson. Cyndi’s interest in science and technology started when she was in elementary school when women and minorities were actively discouraged from following technical careers. However, that did not stop her from moving forward and making strides in her pursuit of a different path for her life.

Cyndi is a three-time graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, a MS in Management and an MBA in Technology Management. She also holds a Master’s Certificate in Commercial Project Management from George Washington University and a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University. She is a member of the NJIT Board of Visitors for the Women in Engineering Group and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

AAUW has been transforming women’s lives for more than a century. Our Madison area branch continues to support education with grants, programs that expose teen girls to STEM, topical monthly programs, and member special interest groups such as a book club, a mahjong game, book sales and more.  Join us to find purpose, community, and friendship at madisonareaaauw.org.
