Open House
New Providence Fire Department
The New Providence Volunteer Fire Department hosted an Open House event on Saturday, October 14th, intentionally timed during Fire Prevention Week. Despite the rain, the department had a wide variety of activities for residents to take part in. These activities included fire prevention handouts/information, meet the Chief of Department, recruiting information, equipment demonstrations, fire engine tours as well as hands on fire extinguisher and fire hose activities. The William Paca Club of New Providence graciously volunteered to serve refreshments as part of our event, and the New Jersey American Water Company had a giveaway table as well.
