Community Art Swap – April 15
The Cranford Public Library is hosting their second annual Community Art Swap on Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Help divert materials from landfill while encouraging environmentally friendly creation! Everyone is welcome to bring new or gently used arts and craft materials and swap them for something new. This program is being held in the Community Room of the Cranford Community Center. The last hour of the swap is pickup only, please do not bring any donations after 11:00 a.m.
The swap is simple: an assortment of art supplies will be made available to browse on tables. Anyone can leave items here, and anyone can take items from here. Be kind when selecting these supplies, and take only what you think you will use. Participants who have supplies that they’d prefer to swap directly are encouraged to “pre-swap” their items on the Facebook event page: https://fb.me/e/4qIX4L5iD Pre-swappers can post items that they have and list items that they want, arrange a trade, and meet up at the event to exchange goods. Please be aware that, while trading is fine, buying and selling is not permitted.
Anyone who would like to donate materials can drop them off the in Children’s Department of the Cranford Public Library from April 12-14. Donations must be fit for reuse and should be small enough to fit in a car. The library is only accepting arts and crafts materials (including art tools, textiles, and books) in new or gently used condition; this means nothing expired, damaged, or moldy.
