Stroke Risk Factors – Lecture
The Linden Public Library and its health partner, RWJ University Hospital Rahway, will co-sponsor a lecture about Additional Stroke Risk Factors. The special health awareness event will be held in the Columbia Bank Room at the library on Wednesday, April 19th at 1:00 p.m. The library is located at 31 East Henry Street in Linden.
Karen Vargas, the stroke coordinator at RWJ Rahway, will present this informative discussion outlining an individual’s specific stroke risk factors, particularly regarding high blood pressure and diabetes. These medical conditions present two of the greatest risk factors for strokes. Everyone attending the lecture will receive free Linden Public Library promotional items.
