Thanks to the money raised from the 2016 Berkeley Heights 5K Charity Road Race and Fitness Walk, a $750 donation has been made to cover the cost of Governor Livingston High School’s ImPACT testing program for the current school year. “We strongly support the need for the ImPACT testing program at GL, which helps to establish a brain function base line for participants in contact sports and activities and then assists in allowing a participant who is suspected of sustaining a concussive injury to recover fully before resuming contact activities,” explained Dr. Smith. “Thanks to all of those individuals – runners, walkers, volunteers, and patrons – who made our 2016 Berkeley Heights 5K a success and thereby allowed us to make a donation to fund this very important program at Governor Livingston.”
