2022 Cranford Cure Diabetes 5K
Schmitts’ Quest for the Cure is hosting the 9th annual Cranford Cure T1 Diabetes 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, September 18 in Nomahegan Park, Cranford. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. Family activities, awards, goody bags, refreshments, and t-shirts (while supply lasts) will be on hand on the day of the race.
Schmitts’ Quest for the Cure (SQC) nonprofit originated as a family and friends team who rode each year in the Tour de Cure, a national fundraising event for diabetes research and treatment. After 11 years of enthusiastic participation, the Schmitt family took fundraising to the next level and created a 501(c)3 organization to afford the best opportunity to raise money to help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes and support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). SQC has collaborated in a variety of previous fundraisers, with over 1,2500 participants.
