Garwood Green Team Receives $2,000 Grant from Sustainable Jersey and PSE&G
On April 7, 2019, Garwood was named the recipient of a $2,000 grant from Sustainable Jersey and PSE&G. This grant will allow the Green Team to create a rain garden at the Recreation Complex. The rain garden will keep infield dirt and pet waste from flowing into the Garwood Brook and the Rahway River. It will also help mitigate flooding on parts of the baseball field. The Green Team looks forward to getting to work and continuing Garwood’s sustainability efforts.
