The Cranford Police Athletic League (PAL), a not-for-profit youth sports organization that aims to bring Cranford cops and kids together, is currently in its 36th sports season. The 3rd-8th grade Fall Tackle Football program is under the direction of Football Director Andrew Hooey. This season tackle football has seen improvements to the uniforms and equipment while ensuring that participant-safety is paramount with the addition of defibrillators, CPR-certified coaches, and athletic trainers during game days. Our Flag Football Program is currently being run by Coordinator Ken Hoefling. This non-contact instructional program for 1st and 2nd graders meets for 6 Saturdays in the fall to practice the fundamentals of football. Lastly, our successful Cheer Program participation has grown under the direction of Jenn Mooney – so much so that 3rd grade participants were allowed into the program this season.
The PAL Basketball Program under the direction of Program Director John Frieri has announced the try-out schedule which is listed below. Any questions regarding the try-out process should be directed to Mr. Frieri at 908-272-6279. All try-outs shall occur at the Orange Avenue School Gymnasium at the below listed dates and times. Once an applicant has been accepted onto a team (after try-outs), parents will receive an email with sign-up and registration procedures.

Lastly, the Cranford PAL Wrestling Program will began sign-ups online at www.cranfordpal.org beginning October 1st, 2017. Wrestling Director Kevin Murray is joined by Coordinators Andrew Hooey and Rob Kanterman to begin the 2017 winter season.
