The Summit Area Public Foundation (SAPF) awarded a $30,000 grant to Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. The funding will support the expansion of Children’s Specialized Hospital’s Mountainside location.
The expansion and renovation plan in Mountainside will increase the efficiency and capacity of the Mountainside Special Needs Primary Care practice. The plan centralizes the physicians, nurses and staff enhancing a team-based approach to care, ultimately increasing the number of patients receiving high-quality, family-centered, pediatric primary care.
“We are grateful for this generous grant from the Summit Area Public Foundation,” said Patricia Foley, Vice President Outpatient Services, Children’s Specialized Hospital. “The support of organizations like SAPF is essential in helping us to provide comprehensive and compassionate specialized pediatric primary care to more children with complex healthcare needs.”
“We value the role Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation plays in our community,” said John Cooper, President, Summit Area Public Foundation. “The important work they are doing has a direct impact on children in summit and our surrounding area. The planned expansion and renovation will enable more children to receive the specialized care that Children’s Specialized Hospital provides.”
