The Cranford Honorary P.B.A. Local #52
During the 1980’s and early 1990’s the Cranford Honorary P.B.A. Local #52 served and supported the members of the Cranford Police Department. This organization consisted of business owners and citizens who fully supported the Cranford Police Department, the Cranford Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local #52 and their respective members. The Honorary P.B.A. actively aided in the good and welfare of the Cranford police officers and their families. The Honorary also physically and monetarily supported the Cranford Police Department with many programs that helped cement relationships, both professional and personal, between the police and the community.
The spirit that brought about this organization has been alive and well since its rebirth in 2016. Spearheaded by both retired Cranford P.B.A. members and dedicated community members, the Cranford Honorary P.B.A. mission is simple:
“To promote the moral, professionalism and the good and welfare of the Cranford Police Department and to promote and grow the relationship between the citizens, business owners and the members of the Cranford Policemen’s Benevolent Association and the Honorary P.B.A.”
The Cranford Honorary P.B.A. is seeking motivated individuals who are interested in becoming members, board members and volunteers. There will be monthly commitments, but the rewards will be worth it. We are looking for those of you who have the desire to actively support the members of the Cranford Police Department and their families in good times and in bad. In a world of ever increasing public disdain and constant scrutiny of our law enforcement officials, we need women and men community leaders, who are willing to stand up and actively support those who keep us safe. We are fortunate to live and work in a wonderful community and believe that the rebirth of the Cranford Honorary P.B.A. has been a fantastic asset to Cranford.
