ALJ Key Club Members Virtual Reading Sessions

Submitted by Christine Casale Broski

Key Club Members from Arthur L. Johnson High School recorded remote reading sessions for preschool and elementary students to enjoy. The sessions have been posted on the district website under the “More” tab and then the “Year-Round/Remote Learning” sub-tab towards the top right of the page. Several members participated and books include One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?, and Have You Filled a Bucket Today? among many others.

Key Club Advisor Kelsey Anderson stated, “The Key Clubbers have been circulating ideas of ways to help others in our community. Francesca Luongo reached out about reading children’s books virtually to our local elementary school students. One of the goals was to read children’s books to assist parents with a daily story or even use it as a bedtime story. The Key Clubbers were happy to send positive thoughts and messages through books to children during this time. We hope to continue to grow our virtual library to bring families more stories and support!”
