Watchung Hills Elks Lodge 885 in Warren Township is proud to announce that their first ever Super 50/50 lottery was a smashing success.

Members, friends and family recently gathered to witness the culmination of months of work as Super 50/50 committee chair Pat Guerra prepared and spun the raffle drum. Moments later, Lodge Secretary Danny Larsen (PDD) validated the drawing of the winning ticket by Warren Township Committeeman Daniel Croson.

The final amount was $33,700; we sold 337 tickets, sending one lucky winner home with just over $16,850 cash (before taxes).

The party continued with good food and camaraderie as we feted the winner. Often we see the joy in the eyes of special children and homeless veterans as we conduct our charitable works and it was something else to see the winner’s eyes light-up with dreams of spending the winnings.

Our Elks lodge has regularly donated time and money to support the causes of special needs children, veterans and other local community needs in this Warren location since 1962. Your support ensures that the lodge can continue the legacy of these good works in the future.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our cause, your help is truly appreciated. Thank you also to all the Lodge 885 members who contributed their time and effort to sell raffle tickets.
