Summit Downtown, Inc. Elects New Trustees and Executive Committee Members 

Summit Downtown, Inc. (SDI) has added three new members to its board. Leslie Herman and Matthew Strauss join the board as commercial property owners. Leslie Herman owns 73-75 Summit Avenue where her practice, Summit Hearing Aid Center, is located. Matthew Strauss has a variety of experience in residential mortgage servicing and compliance, private commercial real estate investment, and commercial property management. He has taken over the management of the M. Walter Properties downtown, including the building that houses beautylounge, Summit House, and the eagerly anticipated Bull & Bear microbrewery. Ray Merritt joins the board as the Summit Resident representative. Ray owns Summit Art Advisory and has also served on the boards of the Summit PAL and Summit Public Art.

SDI also elected their 2019 Executive Committee: Chair: Bob Conway, Brownie Points Bakery; Vice Chair: Karen Schneider, Lois Schneider Realtors; Treasurer: Claire Toth, Pointview Wealth Management; Secretary: Anthony Melchionna, Salon 44.

Summit Downtown, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the ongoing development and promotion of the business community in downtown Summit, NJ.
