Somerset County is seeking musicians, dancers, and entertainers to perform for 10 to 45 minutes at the 2023 Diversity Festival. Artforms should reflect the county’s unique and diverse cultures and communities. The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Somerville. Artists will receive payment. Applications are due by Monday, July 15.

Musical performances will take place for 30 to 45 minutes on the “Show Mobile” stage on Grove and Main streets, and dancers will perform for 10 to 15 minutes on another stage on Main Street. 

“Show Mobile” performers will receive a fixed payment rate of $200 per musician with a cap of $1,600 for a musical artist or band. Dancers will receive a fixed rate of $200 per adult dancer with a cap of $1,600, and dance school performances will receive a flat rate of $200.

Preference will be given to Somerset County-based performance artists, professional artists in their field of expertise, as wells as artists who have experience with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, State Teen Arts, a neighboring county Cultural & Heritage Commission, or an established non-profit arts organization.
