Linden Public Library Initiates News Alert Service “Wowbrary”

Library Alerts – Wowbrary

The Linden Public Library is excited to initiate a news alert service called “Wowbrary,” which is available free to patrons by email. These alerts feature information regarding the latest bestsellers, movies, music CDs, audio books, children’s titles, cookbooks, mysteries, travel guides, health and fitness releases, science fiction titles and more.

Linden Library Director Dennis Purves explains, “This is a great new way to enjoy and use our public library more. People will be truly amazed when they can see all in one place just how many great titles we purchase every week. Patrons can place holds at no cost for all types of materials, for all age groups and for a variety of diverse interests. The new Wowbrary alerts are extremely convenient and user-friendly. They can identify the status of an item if it is on the shelf or not. The alerts can be easily placed from a home, work or school computer.”

Ginger Moore, the Linden Library’s Youth Services Librarian also adds, “It takes only a mouse click to see the newest arrivals appropriate for your child or teen. The alerts can be used for those interested in specific topics, including a special section on parenting. Teachers can quickly spot new resources for their classes. It is a dynamic service.”

The “Wowbrary” alerts are free and do not require the use of a library card. To sign up for or learn more about this program, please visit wowbrary.org.

Located at 31 East Henry Street, the Linden Public Library has been at the center of the city’s social, cultural, artistic and educational life since it was founded in 1928.
