Linden Chamber Presents Business Awards and Scholarships

The Linden Chamber of Commerce held their eighteenth annual scholarship and business awards dinner on June 13, 2019 at Ill Amici Ristorante in Linden, New Jersey.

Four scholarships totaling $5,000, were awarded to Linden High School seniors Love Desrosiers, Piotr Zelany, Siarrah Meyers, and Daniel Lopez.

(above) ‘Business of the Year’ award was given to A&M Industrial

A ‘Business of the Year’ award was given to A&M Industrial. A&M operated with a location in Linden for over 30 years and continues to serve customers in the local industrial community. A&M takes pride in being part of the amazing re-vitalization of the City of Linden.

(above) A ‘Business of the Year’ award was given to Scomage Information Services, Inc.

A ‘Business of the Year’ award was given to Scomage Information Services, Inc. A family business that was founded in 1999 to provide software development, system integration and computer support services to small and mid-sized businesses.

(above) The ‘Person of the Year’ award was presented to Lois Bass.

The ‘Person of the Year’ award was presented to Lois Bass. Lois has resided in Linden for the past 39 years. She joined Infineum USA L.P. in 1999 as an Administrative Assistant and was quickly promoted to Community Relations Coordinator in 2008 where she serves as an ambassador for Infineum. Lois is a member of over a dozen organizations. When there is a need, Lois is eager to volunteer.

The Linden Chamber of Commerce is made up of volunteers and is actively involved in the community. Throughout the year fund-raising is constant to ensure as many scholarships as possible can be given out. The Linden Chamber works to provide support for new and current businesses, advocates site development and promotes a forward thinking and carefully planned business environment in Linden. Their meetings are designed for sharing information and experiences. Representatives from the Linden Government are always in attendance at meetings, which allows for an open and communicative relationship between business owners and the municipality.
