Soup’s On

Nearly 100 people weathered the storm on March 21, 2019 for a taste of soup and dessert at the Kenilworth Historical Society’s annual ‘Soup’s On’ fundraiser for the Oswald J. Nitschke House “living history” museum and cultural arts center. The event was held at the Community United Methodist Church in Kenilworth. Delicious soup was generously provided by local restaurants and others, including Boulevard Five72, The Gourmet Deli (Cranford), Elaine’s Souper Soups, Kenilworth Diner, Michigan Deli, The LAB Restaurant, Riberto’s Italian Seafood Bistro and Steak House, Rustic Mill Diner (Cranford), and Community United Methodist Church of Kenilworth.

New Jersey Makers Day

During the Kenilworth Library’s March 23, 2019 presentation of New Jersey Makers Day, Fran Day and Joyce Chiappetta of the Kenilworth Historical Society assist one of many participants in blending a variety of herbs to be used in a tea bag. The tea-blending exercise and related display, coordinated by Oswald J. Nitschke House garden committee chair Shari Combs Tlack (not shown in the photo), were sponsored by the Kenilworth Historical Society.
