CRANFORD ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARADE SET FOR OCT. 29

The Cranford Recreation and Parks Department in partnership with the Cranford Jaycees are sponsoring our 17th Annual Halloween Parade on Sunday, Oct. 29. Gathering and registration will begin at 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the Cranford Community Center. Judging will start at 1:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. at the Cranford Community Center. It will continue west on Walnut Avenue, north across South and North Avenue, up North Union Avenue, across Alden and end at the Gazebo in Parking Lot #1 (near the Fire Dept.). Don’t miss the Pumpkin Chunkin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation. Awards will be given out for Best Costume in the following age groups: 0-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-16. Other categories include: adult/child team, group, hand-pulled mini floats and pets. Please enter only 1 prize category per person (or creature). Parade escorts include the Cranford High School Marching Band, Cranford Police Department, Cranford Fire Department, and the Cranford Emergency Squad. The Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Chunkin, now in its 16th year, has become a Cranford tradition. This is a great family event that the kids are guaranteed to love.
