Clark UNICO together with District X celebrated the Annual Americanism Award during a banquet held recently. Clark’s own Bill Duffy was honored for his many years of service to our military, specifically the fallen heroes from Clark – from the Civil War through Iraq. Every Memorial Day Bill reads off the names of the 21 Clark residents who lost their lives in battle. Bill was also responsible for having a gold star placed on street signs named after each fallen hero in Clark. Clark President Ralph Bernardo said “Our selection was easy as everyone immediately voted to honor Bill.” The banquet held at the Gran Centurions in Clark, included four other nominees, dinner, and presentations.
