On February 25, 2018 the Cerchio Family of Scotch Plains celebrated their third child to win a State Championship title in a year. Alexa Cerchio, 8 years old, competed at the Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association State Championship in Galloway, NJ. She competed in the level 6 division and won the title of the All Around State Champion. Previous to that, her big sister Jenna Cerchio, now 12, won the title of the All Around State Champion for JOGA in the level 4 division in April of 2018. Both sisters, along with their youngest sister, Gianna, 5 years old, train at Surgent’s Elite School of Gymnastics in Westfield, NJ.
Their older brother, Louie Cerchio IV also won the USA Wrestling New Jersey State Championship in Trenton, NJ in March of 2018 in the Junior division. Louie is a member of the Edge Wrestling Club National Team which is located in Whippany, NJ.
