BACKYARD COMPOSTING PRESENTATION

Please join the Hanson Park Conservancy and the Cranford Environmental Commission as we celebrate Earth Week with our guest speaker, Virginia Lamb and her presentation, Backyard Composting on Tuesday, April 18 at 7:30 PM at the Cranford Community Center. Virginia Lamb, a noted environmental educator from Rutgers Master Gardeners, will show easy ways to turn organic waste into rich compost. She will demonstrate composting of kitchen and garden materials, including what to compost and how to speed up the composting process. She will also discuss how to make compost tea and how to use the finished product, a gardener’s “black gold.”
The Cranford Community Center is located at 220 Walnut Ave. in Cranford. The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required, but seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please arrive early!
