Rahway Actor to Appear on FOX show Gotham

Rahway resident Phil E. Eichinger will appear as Detective Culpepper on the FOX show Gotham. The episode will air on Thursday, October 26th at 8 p.m.
Phil, an actor, has previously appeared on Difficult People (Hulu), Law & Order: SVU (NBC), Do No Harm (NBC), Taxi Brooklyn (NBC), and White Collar (USA). The former Semi-Professional hockey player has been a resident of Rahway since 2011.
“I’m super stoked to appear on Gotham. It was my third time auditioning for the show this season. Third time’s a charm, but not all the time! Working with the two lead actors Ben McKenzie (James Gordon) and Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock) was as smooth as any production has been for me. When we weren’t rolling or I wasn’t getting stuffed into a trunk we chatted about UFC and college football, two things I know nothing about. As of now, I’m appearing in Episode 6. But being a Detective in the ‘world’ of Gotham, where they produce 22 episodes a season, gives me the belief that I can return as the crooked and corrupt Culpepper.”
Phil began his career in 2006. After graduating from Monmouth University a few years earlier, acting fell into his lap. “I recently returned from a hockey tryout in Canada and knew I was registered for Acting 101, just for the hope of it being entertaining. It was either that or Italian. Upon my return, I chose to stay enrolled in the class and not continue to play hockey professionally, in what now is a defunct league.” Since that moment, his career quickly accumulated more jobs.
“My first huge job was a nine month contract with George Street Playhouse.” Today his impeccable dedication to his craft continues to exude major strides. “It’s not a sprint, but a marathon and I’m shining on the progress that I have been making.”
