The Warren Township Lions Club has been proudly serving the Warren Township Community since being chartered in 1948 and will be hosting the 51st annual EXPO starting Wednesday, June 13 through Saturday, June 16, 2018. EXPO will be held at the Warren Township Municipal Grounds in front of the Lions Pavilion Picnic Area, Warren, New Jersey and will host about 10,000 visitors to enjoy the rides, games, food, entertainment, and a fireworks display on Saturday evening to celebrate EXPO.
EXPO is the major Fundraiser for the Lions Club and is a town tradition that the Warren Township Community looks forward to. The funds raised will allow the Lions Club to donate to more than 35 charities and need based projects each year as well humanitarian and disaster needs whether they are local, national, or international.
In addition to supporting many organizations related to eye sight, the Lions Club supports Recreation, School Projects and Events, Scouts, Project Graduation, Scholarships for local students, Robotics, camps for visually impaired students, Buddy Ball Teams as well as others. We provide Thanksgiving Basket Dinners for needy families, we support Operation Shoebox, the Annual Police Unity Tour, donate to Cancer Organizations, and collect eye glasses and hearing aids for recycling and distribution.
We also support fun activities such as the annual Bonfire and the Holiday Walk. In the past, we have donated a room to the Warren Library, Welcome to Warren Signs, the Warren Veterans Memorial, and the Warren 911 Memorial.
Club President, Adriane Stewart, commented, “Encouraging our community and youth to engage in charitable service projects is a key part of our club’s mission. Operation Shoebox was a great example.”
Treasurer, Anthony Franchini, highlighted how important the Warren Residents and Business Community are to our success with their support.
