Linden Firefighters Honored

Linden firefighters were among those honored during the 2017 NJ FMBA Valor Awards Banquet: “Honoring the Bravest of the Brave.” The event took place on Saturday April 22nd at The Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. This is the largest Valor Awards Program in the Trip- State-State area for career firefighters.
Nine Linden firefighters received the Valor Group Effort Medical Award for their rapid EMS response when two Linden police officers were shot on September 19, 2016. The officers had been in pursuit of terrorist bombing suspect Ahmad Khan Rahimi. The firefighters receiving the call recognized the need for a quick response under these adverse conditions and bravely decided to act, bringing immediate medical attention to the officers.
