Fire Department Celebrates 100th Anniversary

This year marks the Linden Fire Department’s 100th Year Anniversary. The City and the Department are planning a parade and celebration on July 16th 2016, inviting all to come and honor Linden’s Bravest. The parade kicks off at 1pm proceeding down Wood Avenue from the old city hall and ending at School #1. The parade will include fire departments from around the county and state displaying their antique and modern fire apparatus, Linden Fire Department members present and past, Linden Police Department, local groups, and many others all here to celebrate the 100th Anniversary.
Immediately following the parade The Linden Fire Department will be hosting an anniversary celebration and party at the Robert Wood Bauer Promenade at 400 N Wood Ave (across from Linden City Hall.) Everyone is invited to come out and attend the celebration. This celebration will consist of free food, a beer garden, entertainment, bands, a fire apparatus display, rides for the kids including a water slide, 50/50, prizes, and much more.
This parade and celebration is the highpoint of a yearlong celebration of the history of the Linden Fire Department in the City of Linden. Everyone is welcome to attend, so please come out on July 16th and join us in making our 100th Anniversary a memorable celebration that all will talk about for years to come.
