2017 Summit Candidates’ Forum to be Hosted by LWV

With its mission to promote informed voting, the League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence and Summit will again host a Candidates’ Forum on Thursday, October 12, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Summit High School, located at 125 Kent Place Boulevard in Summit. The event will feature candidates who seek to represent their local voters as follows:
Beth Little, Councilman-at-Large (2 Years); David G. Dietze, Councilman-at-Large (2 Years); Matthew Gould, 1st Ward Councilman (3 Years); John Dougherty, 1st Ward Councilman (3 Years); Marjorie Fox, 2nd Ward Councilman (3 Years) and Mike Wattick, 2nd Ward Councilman (3 years).
Candidates will make presentations and answer questions from the League of Women Voters and the audience. Co-President and New Providence resident Susan Ferris Rights will moderate this event.
With the support of the community, the League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence and Summit encourages informed and active participation in government. Unaffiliated with any political party, the league hosts Candidates’ Nights, encourages voter registration and studies public policy issues. The League welcomes new members. Men and women of all political parties or who are unaffiliated are invited.
