Westfield Festifall Street Fair Sept. 24

The 28th annual Westfield FestiFall street fair, sponsored by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC), will take place Sunday, Sepember 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
Tens of thousands are expected to arrive from near and far to enjoy this 28th annual event, which will close off downtown streets to cars to make way for pedestrians, vendors, rides, games and entertainment. More than 230 local businesses and guest vendor booths will participate this year, according to the GWACC.
There is no admission fee and parking will be free. The best spots to park, according to the chamber, are in the South Avenue train station. From there, attendees should cross into the festival area through the train underpass. Downtown streets closed to traffic will include Prospect, Elm, East Broad and Quimby Streets.
“FestiFall is a great time for everyone to come out and enjoy the fall weather, browse the vendor booths, visit the KidZone and listen to the great entertainment on the main stage,” Gene Jannotti, executive director of the GWACC, said. “This year the headline group will be High Strung Band.”
High Strung Band will perform at 4 p.m.  Other live entertainment will include Hey Monea at 2:30 pm, RMC at 1 pm, the NJ Workshop for the Arts at 11:30 a.m., and 8 Till When (Mike Craig Band) at 10 am.
“We look forward to the thousands of visitors who will be there,” Jannotti said.
