City of Summit Hosts 72nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration
The City of Summit’s 72nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Soldiers Memorial Field, located at 5 Myrtle Avenue in Summit. The day-long, family-friendly celebration will include entertainment, rides and amusements, as well as an expanded food truck festival.
The day will begin with a flag raising ceremony at 9:45 a.m., followed by a decorated bicycle parade for children at 10 a.m. Rides, amusements, and entertainment will continue until 1 p.m., when Memorial Field will close to setup for evening activities.
The evening festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and includes rides, entertainment, and a food truck festival. Circus Spectacular will perform circus acts at 6:15 p.m., followed by Daddy Pop in concert at 7:30 p.m. The night will close with a grand fireworks display, beginning at 9:15 p.m.
