September 2019 SPEAKER’S OLD GUARD

Sept. 3 – Proactive planning for healthcare and housing needs

Proactive planning for healthcare and housing needs is vital to provide quality of life. James Ciprich of Regent Atlantic will speak about Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC’s) which have become a popular choice for some retirees to consider, although many require a large up-front entry fee and monthly fees. Jim will talk about the affordability, tax benefits that may be available and contracts.

Sept. 10 – Prison Reform in New Jersey

Since New Jersey’s prison population reached more than 31,000 in 1999, the state has taken a leadership role in prison reform efforts, implementing research and scientific needs assessment and evidence-based treatment interventions. Dan has been chosen by the last five NJ Governors to serve on various teams for correction policy studies.
