Rahway’s 19th Annual Taste of Spring is “Going Green”

Rahway’s 19th annual Taste of Spring is upon us and is “Going Green,” with the event focusing on source reduction, recycling and sustainability. This year, each ticket holder will get a reusable utensil that they are encouraged to use throughout the night and vendors are asked to use biodegradable products for their samples where possible.

This annual event features over 70 Stations of food, wine, boutique beer, aperitifs and desserts. For the price of an entry, guests, twelve years of age and older, can sample from over 40 restaurants from all over Union and Middlesex Counties presenting their finest tastes. One can find everything from seafood to pastas, vegetarian options to a meat lovers dream. In addition there are a plethora of dessert options and cheese plates to sample. Along with these amazing tastes are skilled mixologists, sommeliers and brand ambassadors to walk you through some of their best wines and spirits.

Also new for this year is the option to purchase (in advance only) a commemorative Taste of Spring t-shirt, specially designed for this year’s Taste of Spring by Trish Lynn Designs and printed by the exclusive distributor, The Litehouse (located at 1483 Main St. in Rahway). Get your tickets and t-shirts early, as this event was sold out last year before the doors even opened!

Rahway’s Taste of Spring will be held on April 12 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Rahway Recreation Center, 275 E. Milton Avenue, Rahway NJ. Tickets are $30 in advance; $40 at the door and can be purchased via Eventbrite or in person at: Witty’s Fine Wine & Liquors, Pinhos Bakery and the Rahway Recreation Center.
