Outstanding Citizens To Be Honored at the Boy Scouts of America 20th Annual Summit Good Scout Awards Dinner

Boy Scouts of America, Patriots’ Path Council will be honoring local community members at the Boy Scouts of America 20th Annual Summit Good Scout Awards Dinner to be held on the evening of Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at The Grand Summit Hotel at 6:30 p.m. This year’s honorees are Patrick Angelo, General Manager, The Committed Pig; Deborah Belfatto, Community Leader & Philanthropist; Bill Brandstatter, Assistant Scoutmaster, Boy Scout Troop 67, Summit; Donna Puzella, Co-Owner, Sweet Nothings; and the organization, “Summit Helping Its People”. Further, the Good Scout Award will be presented posthumously to the family of Miles Mac Mahon (1926-2016) for his community involvement.

The event recognizes these six honorees for their community service, as evidenced by their leadership and interests within the Summit community, and for their embodiment of the values of the century old Scout Oath and Law in their personal and professional lives. The event co-chairs and master of ceremonies are Annette & Terry Dwyer and the honorary event chair is Jack Cooper. Annette, Terry, and Jack all received the Summit Good Scout Award in the past and will be three of the many past honorees in attendance to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Summit Good Scout Award.

Summit is part of the Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America which serves over 16,000 youth in over 400 Scouting units in communities throughout Morris, Middlesex, Somerset, Sussex, and Union Counties.
