Registration is required for programs unless noted. Additionally, free movies are shown at the library on Monday and Wednesday at 1:00p.m. Newly released DVDs are featured each Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. No registration is required for movies.

Afternoon Book Club on Tuesday, September 5 at 1:00 pm
Join us for a meeting of our afternoon book club. We will be discussing The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell. Deep in the heart of London, in a lush communal square, as a festive garden party is taking place, a thirteen year-old girl lies unconscious and bloody in a hidden corner. What really happened to her? And who is responsible? Please speak with a librarian for information on obtaining a copy of the book.

The Alexander Technique on Thursday, September 7 at 7 pm
Designed to increase physical well-being, the Alexander Technique is an experiential mind-body learning method that helps with pain, stress and discomfort, which affect daily activities. The lecture, with the aid of a PowerPoint presentation, will be given by Zadok Ruben, D.V.M., Ph.D., a certified Alexander Technique teacher (ATI and ISTAT). His teaching practice includes lessons to military veterans and to students at the New Jersey Workshop for the Performing Arts in Westfield. He is also a faculty teacher at the Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique and presents anatomy at teacher training programs.

AARP Driver Safety Class on Monday & Tuesday, September 11-12 at 9:30-12:30
Tune up your driving skills and update your knowledge of the rules of the road with the 2-day AARP Driver Safety Class. Learn about normal age-related physical changes, and how to adjust your driving to allow for these changes. Many automobile insurance companies provide a multiyear discount to AARP Driver Safety Class graduates.$15 fee for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Payment should be brought on the day of the class.

Union County Division on Aging Services on Monday, September 11 from 10- Noon
Do you have a questions about services for seniors or their caregivers? The Union County Division on Aging will be at the Clark Public Library to answer them. Drop by anytime between 10am-12pm and get answers to your questions about: pharmaceutical assistance, home energy assistance, home care, home delivered or congregate meals, caregiver relief, medicaid, transportation, and other questions you may have.

Maker Monday on Monday, September 18 at 3:30 pm
Join us in making some fun back to school crafts.  We will be making marble magnets, magnetic pencil holders, and troll pencil toppers.  For students in elementary school.  Registration is required.

Board Game Day on Thursday, September 21 from 10 am – 4 pm
Stop by the library while you enjoy the day off school and play a variety of board games!

Our 6 week session of Storytimes will begin the week of September 25.  

Tales for Tots on Mondays or Thursdays at 10 am
Stories, finger plays, and songs for active listeners.  Geared toward ages 2-3 with a caregiver. Older children are welcome!  30 minutes of open play follows.

Baby Bookworms (formerly called Lapsit for Little Ones) on Tuesdays at 10 am
Stories, songs, nursery rhymes, and movement.  Geared toward babies and toddlers under 2 years old with caregiver.  30 minutes of open play follows.

Stories & More on Thursdays at 1:30 pm
Stories, movement, songs and a craft for active listeners ages 3 -5 years old.
Sorry, younger siblings may not attend.

Grown-Up Coloring Club Meets Weekly

Coloring isn’t just for kids anymore!  Join us for a relaxing afternoon of coloring for grown ups. Relieve some stress while stimulating your creativity!  No registration is required.

Teen Tech Help
on most 
Tuesdays at 7:00 pm, Fridays at 3:30 pm, and Saturdays at 2:00 pm
Do you have a new phone or tablet and need help figuring it out?  The library now offers one-on-one assistance with a variety of technological issues. Sessions last one hour and may also focus on e-mail, e-books, Microsoft Office or other technology questions you might have. Advance registration is required, so please call the Reference Desk at 732 388 5999 to schedule an appointment.
