The City of Summit Parking Services Agency recently launched a digital platform for residents to obtain and renew annual parking and disposal center permits online. The new digital permit system is managed by license plate recognition with no physical permit to place on a vehicle.
Effective now through the end of September, all residents are required to renew annual parking and municipal disposal center permits online. The deadline to renew annual permits is October 1, 2017. New permits will be valid from October 1, 2017 through September 31, 2018. Permits are required by the City of Summit for all residents to park in municipal parking lots and garages and to use the City of Summit Transfer Station on 40 New Providence Ave.
The new digital process requires residents to create a personal account online with a username and password. Once the registration process is complete, users will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to initiate the permit renewal process with a credit card online.
The Parking Services Agency is available to assist residents with the permit renewal process if they are unable to independently initiate the process online. Please call 908-522-5100 or email parking@cityofsummit.org for more information or to set up an appointment.
