Annual Spring Fling Fundraiser to Benefit PBA

By: Edir Coronado

The Primrose School of Warren incorporated a twist to their annual Spring Fling fundraiser by adding inflatable obstacles to the race, that children and adults enjoyed. According to the Primrose School’s event page, all net proceeds will be donated to the PBA, which helps support the Police Unity Tour; an annual bike tour to help commemorate officers who died in the line of duty.
Despite the ominous weather forecast, the event was a success, with tons of determined community members coming out to the East County Park to complete the 2k obstacle run. Warren Police Department couldn’t be more excited to see the tremendous amount of support they were receiving. Sergeant Matt Saum voiced, “Nice to see the community enjoying the county preserve,” and Sergeant Robert Ferreiro expressed, “Excited to be part of such a great event, looking forward to next year.”
Support for the fundraising event was also exhibited by business owners like Joe Amoroso, owner of Trainer Joe. “This is a great event, really promotes fitness and fun; it gets the kids out and moving,” exclaimed Amoroso. Audrey Yeager from Gotta Dance made an appearance and she felt, “it was a beautiful day for the event, it really brings the community together.” Gotta Dance has a close relationship with Primrose School, providing classes once a week, in the form of Jazz and Ballet. A familial vibe flowed through the air as community members, business owners, and civil service associates came together for a worthy cause.
