The seventh graders at Central Middle School in Long Hill Township held their annual Victorian Day on March 3, 2016. The day included playing a trivia game about the industrial revolution, learning about the various social classes and jobs available during the time period, watching and participating in a skit about the emphasis placed on schooling during that time, playing parlor games from the time period such as squeak piggy squeak, wink murder, and charades and taking photos in a Victorian-style setting that could be placed in frames decorated by them. In addition, the students enjoyed a Victorian Tea in which fresh strawberries, tea sandwiches (ham and cheese, turkey and cheese and cream cheese and jelly), desserts (scones, mini cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies and thumbprint cookies), and iced tea and water were served.
