BSA Troop 17’s newest Eagle Scouts

BSA Troop 17 celebrated its Eagle Court of Honor on Saturday, May 11th, 2024. Nathaniel Phillips, Joseph Radics, Manal Jha, and Leonard Yu were honored during the ceremony for their advancement to the highest level of scouting. Fewer than 5% of all boys who participate in scouting achieve the Eagle Scout award. These newest Eagle Scouts bring the total to 159 Eagles in the 80-year history of BSA Troop 17.

Prior to the ceremony, Troop 17 presented St. Rose of Lima with a new flag for their flagpole. It was given with heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the parish’s ongoing support of our scouting programs. The flag was blessed by Fr. Larry Evans.

BSA Troop 17 meets on Thursday nights at St. Rose of Lima in Short Hills from September to June. Please visit Troop17ShortHills.com to learn more.
