P.E.O. Installs Officers

The Madison Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter AB, (P.E.O.) recently installed its 2023 officers. Members volunteer for the various scholarship committees, which include the International Peace Scholarship, Program for Continuing Education, and STAR Scholarship for high school seniors moving on to higher education.

The meeting program was presented by The Great Swamp. Birding experts educated the P.E.O. members about the various species of birds to be found in the Great Swamp and throughout New Jersey and how to identify them.

Since its inception by seven women in Iowa in 1869, the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) has helped more than 119,000 women pursue educational goals by providing over $400 million in grants, scholarships, awards, and loans. It is now one of the oldest and largest women’s organizations in North America with close to 5800 chapters.
