Write the Next Great American Novel with Help from the Library

Most Thursdays between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., you can find the members of The Watchung Writers Group gathering at SCLSNJ’s Watchung Library branch. The Watchung Writers Group was started in 2001 by novelist Gordon McLenithan with the objective of creating a supportive network of aspiring authors. The group is open to writers at all levels of experience from beginners to published authors and attracts members from surrounding towns.
“I embrace the opportunity to spread the word that life-changing work is happening in our Watchung Writers Group. We’re all serious about our writing. Being part of this group makes me a better writer,” said member Vivian Fransen.
The group is always looking for additional adult members that are striving to improve their writing skills while also sharing literary and personal experiences during the two-hour working sessions.
