Recognition of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Students

On June 5, 2017 the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education recognized student accomplishments in the areas of academics, extra-curricular activities, and athletics that were exceptionally meritorious.
The following students were recognized:
Valedictorian, Caroline McNichol; Salutatorian, Max Mazursky; National Merit Commended Students: Julia Guarneri, Justin Greenman, Caroline McNichol, Max Mazursky, Sydney Mills, Deblina Mukherjee, Lukas Stein, Issac Velasquez. National Hispanic Recognition went to Ian MacPherson and Isaac Velasquez. Seal of Biliteracy students are: Sebastian Angulao, Jackeline Calderon, Sebastian Chinchilla, Natalie Choque, Kiara Cruz, Daniela Fonseca, Justin Greenman, Ryan Kessler, Max Lusk, Ian MacPherson, Max Mazursky, Simon Oster, Christian Roman, Lukas Stein, Isaac Velasquez, Alison Zimmerman. ACT Highest Scores awards went to Andrew Kriney and Deblina Mukherjee. Union County School Board Association Recognition was awarded to Emily Lockatel. Governor’s Arts in Education Award was presented to Kenyela Horn. Scholar Athletes were David Walker, Sophie Brause, and Peter Warren. DECA awards went to Claudia Gentile, Max Mazursky and Niva Patel. Garden State Scholastic Press Association award went to Peter Warren. All State Chorus Students also received recognition and they are: Peter Canevari, Rachella Carlino, Sarah Dolan, Victoria Domiciano, Conor Flood, Kyle Magee, Allan Romero, Meghan Ryan, Audrey Smith and Joshua Venick.
