Pastor Andrew Dzurovcik to Retire After 27 Years of Service

Pastor Andrew Dzurovcik has retired as Pastor from Zion Lutheran Church of Clark after 27 years of service to Zion and the Clark community. Pastor Andy’s final service was held on June 26, 2016.
Pastor Andy grew up in the small town of Whiting, Indiana where he lived with his mom, dad, and younger brother Michael. They were a churchgoing family. He earned his associates degree at Concordia College in Milwaukee, WI In 1967. In 1969 he completed his studies at Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, IN, and graduated from Concordia Seminary in 1973. He served as Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Pleasant City, Ohio, where he met Susan, his wife of 41 years. She was the church organist. He accepted the call to Zion Lutheran in the summer of 1989. Over the years Pastor Andy has been involved in, and held leadership positions in, various committees and organizations both within the church and in the community. These include district Vice President, Mission Board, LWML Pastoral Advisor, LCMS Convention Advisory Delegate, LCEF Leadership Conference Delegate, Red Cross Board, American Cancer Society Board, and Clark Senior Housing Commission.
Pastor is currently serving his first term as SELC President. He resides in Clark with his wife Susan and is the devoted father of 3 daughters and the grandfather of 5. He enjoys golfing, gardening, grilling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
