New Providence Memorial Library has groups that meet regularly. Our Reading Groups are taking July off but the Baseball Discussion Group and Knitting Group will be meeting. All are welcome.  Here are the dates:

Mondays 7/3 & 7/17 @ 7PM
Knitting & Crocheting Group
bring your current project and get advice and assistance

Monday 7/10 @ 7PM
Baseball Discussion Group
All ages welcome, just bring an interest in baseball

We’ll be doing lunchtime coloring sessions
on Thursdays 7/6, 7/13 & 7/20 from 12-2
in the Conti Room. Bring your lunch, bring a friend and we’ll supply the designs & the pencils and some calming music.

Thursday 6/11 @ 7PM
brings what promises to be an enlightening and informative talk entitled
“Establishing a Healthy Relationship with  Food”
and given by Dr. Julie Davelman, PhD in Clinical Psychology.

We’ll be undertaking a book art craft
on Saturday, 7/15 @ 10:30AM-12.
Come, bring a friend to help you chat and fold as we attempt to make paper hedgehogs out of paperback books. Ages 12+ please.

The month closes with an informative and delicious talk
on Wednesday, 7/26 @ 10:30AM-12
about avocados with Jennifer Luster, dietician from Shop Rite in Chatham. Jennifer will share recipes, preparation tips and we’ll share the delicious results!

Stay tuned for details on the Summer Reading program for adults. We’ll be using the library’s GoodReads reading group, NPML Reading Group, for submissions and discussions again and prizes will be awarded. No reading lists, just participation and some great conversations.
