Kid’s Holiday Party on Sunday, December 10th

The Long Hill Community Center invites all Long Hill children and their families to their 24th annual Kid’s Holiday Party on Sunday, December 10th, 1-3 p.m. at the Center located on S. Warren Ave. (across from Jaeger Lumber), Stirling. This event is free to all Long Hill Township children and their families.
The party will commence outside at 1:00 p.m. while the Central Middle School 6th Grade Blue & Gold Band, under the direction of Eileen Schanager, entertains the crowd while waiting for Santa’s arrival via a fire truck provided by the Stirling Fire Department. Then the party moves inside with Santa and the countdown to light the beautiful Christmas tree, donated by the Beneduce Family from the Great Swamp Greenhouse. Children can then share their wish list with Santa and receive a complimentary gift and candy.
The party is also outside with complementary mule-drawn festive red-covered wagon rides and also a petting zoo, presented by Kafka Farms, Warren.
DJ Mike, will provide lots of Holiday music and feature games for the children. Among other activities will be a professional clown, Becky the Clown that will delight the kids with her exciting balloons and magic. Face painting, and sparkle nail painting, along with kid’s decorating holiday cookies and making a craft, will be led by local LH Girl Scouts.
Kids ages 3-8 can enter our coloring contest with a prize to the winner in each age group, donated again this year by John & Pat Murphy of the Learning Express Toy Store. All entries will be displayed at the party, and all winners must be present to receive prizes. Flyers have been electronically distributed through the schools. An entry form can be downloaded at www.lhcommunitycenter.org. Mail as directed before deadline, Dec. 8th. For additional info contact Evie Ernst at 908 647-4038.
Again this year, the Community Center will be co-sponsoring a Toy Drive in cooperation with The Long Hill Twsp. PBA #322 and the Long Hill Twsp. PTO. We ask all who attend the party to please bring a new, unwrapped toy for age’s newborn through teen, which will be distributed to sick or injured children hospitalized during the holidays and throughout the year,
We are in need of items for our Raffle, and ask all businesses to please donate any gift for the kids to win. We will announce your name and business as the prizes are won.
Holiday treats and hot chocolate, cider and coffee will be served, donated by Burger King, Stirling Hotel, Dunkin Donuts, Shop Rite, and the Center will have fresh popped popcorn.
We thank anyone donating raffle prizes (including any gift certificates). The kid’s thank you as well!
