Grand Summit Hotel thanked for holiday meals

On Thursday, September 21, 2017, the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad presented a plaque with sincere appreciation to the Grand Summit Hotel for its generous provision of hot meals on all major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve/Day to the Summit EMS, Summit Police Department and Summit Fire Department.
This tradition was established several years ago when Summit EMS realized that on many holidays it is difficult for crews to find restaurants open for meals. Member Dave Schempp approached the Grand Summit Hotel to request food delivery on major holidays. The Grand Summit Hotel readily agreed and extended the outreach to include Summit police and fire departments.
