Cranford Students Awarded Musical Scholarships

The Musical Club of Westfield, founded in 1915, is an organization devoted to fostering and encouraging music, providing opportunities for performance, and supporting college music scholarships.
The Musical Club awards scholarships to gifted students wishing to pursue their music studies at the college and graduate level. In order to qualify, students must provide evidence of outstanding musical and academic achievement as well as a commitment to pursuing a degree in music at an accredited conservatory or college.
Scholarships are awarded after an audition process and are renewable for four years. This year two new scholarships were awarded to two graduating seniors at Cranford High School. Maggie Manhardt has been awarded the Caroline Holt Memorial Scholarship and will be attending Shenandoah University as a Vocal Performance Major. Sarah Vollenbroek has been awarded the Rachel Hylan Memorial Scholarship and will be attending Rowan University as a Music Education major.
