Bucks County Playhouse Awards Earned By WHS Students

At the Bucks County Playhouse Festival on April 19, students in Westfield High School’s Advanced Theatre Production course earned several awards. These included: Best Overall Production award for their performance of For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls as well as individual awards for Julian Mazzola and Catherine Barry – Best Comic Duo – and Emmanuelle Nadeau – Best Actress. Also singled out was Sydney Stewart, who received the Best Featured Actress award in the production of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. During the morning of the festival, students attended professionally led workshops, ranging from Audition Techniques to Broadway Dance sessions and beyond. The competition portion began in the afternoon with 20 minute production slots.
