BAKLAVA FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT REFUGEES

Calvary Lutheran Church, located at 108 Eastman Street in Cranford, will be selling Baklava on Sunday, September 17 from 11am to 2pm. Our Baklava sale is part of “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday and all proceeds will go to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s Disaster Relief Fund earmarked for Middle Eastern refugees.
Everyone is invited to sample our delicious Baklava, which we will make under the skillful eye of the owner of Old City Cafe in Cranford. You may buy Baklava to take home with you. Or you are invited to sit down at the church and enjoy a piece of this tasty treat with a cup of coffee and some fellowship. Doing both is OK too!
Each piece will cost $2. Baklava is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with filo pastry filled with nuts and held together with simple syrup or honey.
