American Legion Post 3 Sends 15 Boys to Boys State

Martin Wallberg American Legion Post 3 in Westfield sent 15 boys to American Legion Jersey Boys State from June 18 – 23, 2017. Boys State is a civics conference teaching Americanism. The boys set up a mock local city, county, and state government, and were assigned to a political party when they checked in at the Rider University campus. It all ends with the election of a Boys State Governor and two Senators, who go on to American Legion Boys Nation in Washington, D.C. to meet the President of the United States.
